Tejnarayan Prasad Madhav is a distinguished Kabaddi coach and sports professional, currently serving as the Chief Coach of the Bahrain National Kabaddi Team. With an extensive career spanning playing, coaching, and technical leadership, he has made remarkable contributions to the sport at national and international levels. As a Competition Leader, he has served as the Khelo India Competition Manager (Guwahati, Assam) and Competition Director of the UP Kabaddi League (Season 1). His coaching expertise includes leading roles at major events such as the 71st and 70th Senior National Kabaddi Championships, 50th Junior Nationals, 18th Circle Nationals (2025, Haryana), and All India Police Kabaddi Championships.
An accomplished player, he was part of the India vs Bangladesh Series (2004), where he secured a Gold Medal, and represented India in the Junior Camp (2003) and Asian Games Camps (2010) held at SAI centres in Bengaluru, Bhopal, and Delhi. Between 2003 and 2012, he competed in multiple Senior Nationals, the 34th National Games (Jharkhand, 2011), and played for Hyderabad Horses in the Kabaddi Premier League (2011, Vijayawada). Since 2017, he has been the Chief Coach for Jharkhand Police and State Teams (Senior & Junior, Men & Women), and also serves as Coach for the Army 332 Battalion, Ranchi.
In addition to his coaching credentials, Madhav has served as a Technical Official in the Pro Kabaddi League (Seasons 8 and 9) and as a TV Umpire in Season 10, along with officiating at Senior/Junior Nationals, Khelo India Youth Games, and Navodaya Vidyalaya Nationals. His multifaceted contributions as a player, coach, competition manager, and technical expert have significantly shaped the growth and professionalism of kabaddi in India and abroad.
