Senior Advocate Aruneshwar Gupta is a highly esteemed legal professional with an illustrious career spanning over 47 years. Since 1976, he has been actively practising law, making a notable impact in the Supreme Court of India, the Delhi High Court, and numerous High Courts across the country. As the son of the late Honourable Justice Shri D.P. Gupta, former Chief Justice of the Rajasthan High Court, he upholds a legacy of legal excellence and integrity.

As the President of the Students World Cup Council (SWCC), Senior Advocate Gupta plays a pivotal role in guiding and overseeing the organisation’s legal and administrative framework, ensuring its continued growth and success on national and international platforms.

Throughout his distinguished career, he has contributed significantly to the Indian legal landscape. He is a Member of the Categorisation Committee of the Supreme Court of India and serves on the Governing Council and General Council of the National University of Study & Research in Law, Ranchi. His legal expertise has been instrumental in shaping and defending Sports Acts enacted by the states of Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh, all of which were successfully upheld in the High Courts and Supreme Court of India. His contributions extend to the world of sports and governance, having played a key role in the introduction of the Indian Premier League (IPL)—a landmark development in the history of Indian cricket.
