An accomplished Athletics and Handball Professional Coach, he began his career with Indian Railways in 1991 under the Sports Quota (Athletics) and currently serves as a Mail/Express Train Manager in the Bilaspur Division. A versatile sportsperson, he has represented in multiple disciplines including Athletics (Javelin Throw), Kabaddi, Wrestling, and Handball Nationals, and has also competed in the Masters Athletics Championship held in Pune at the international level. He played a key role in facilitating Chhattisgarh’s participation in the World Athletics Continental Tour Bronze 2025 in Bhubaneswar. A two-time Silver Medalist in the All India Railway Athletics (Javelin Throw), he has also guided Railway teams in Kabaddi and Handball Federation Cups. As a dedicated coach, he has trained university, state, SECR, and Indian Railways teams, leading them to numerous gold medal victories. His technical expertise has been recognized through his service as a Technical Official in prestigious events such as the 2010 Commonwealth Games and the 16th SAF Games in 2016. In recognition of his outstanding contributions to sports and service, he has been honored multiple times with the Divisional Railway Manager Award (five times) and the General Manager Award (three times).
