Chekrovolu Swuro is a legendary Indian archer from Nagaland and a proud recipient of the Arjuna Award (2013). She made history by representing India at the 2012 London Olympics, becoming the first Naga woman to compete at the Olympic level. A consistent performer on the international stage, she has won numerous medals, including Gold at the 2011 World Cup Stage IV (Shanghai), Silver at the 2011 World Cup Stage III (USA), and Silver at the World Archery Championships (Turin, Italy). Currently serving as an Assistant Commandant, she continues to inspire generations and champion sports in Northeast India.
