Dr. Ram Niwas Yadav is a distinguished academician, sports professional, and commentator, currently serving as the Principal of Government College Hathin, Palwal (Haryana). With an illustrious career spanning over 27 years in teaching Track & Field and Olympic Movement, and 23 years in leadership roles as Principal and faculty in government colleges, he has made remarkable contributions to sports and education. An accomplished scholar, Dr. Yadav holds multiple qualifications including a Ph.D. (case study on Olympian Shree Ram Singh – 800m finalist, Montreal Olympics 1976), M.P.Ed (Gold Medalist), M.Phil, Diploma in Coaching (Athletics, NSNIS Patiala), M.A. (Yoga), LLB, NDDY (Naturopathy), and LLM (Panjab University, Chandigarh). He is also a National Technical Official in Lawn Bowls and has completed a World Level-1 Rugby Coaching Course.
A multi-talented sportsman, Dr. Yadav is a National Medalist in Athletics, Basketball, and Lawn Tennis, and holds credentials as an AITA Level-I Tennis Coach, AFI National Technical Official, and National-Level Announcer. His leadership roles include serving as a Member of the Board of Studies and Sports Council at Panjab University, Secretary of the National Council for Sports & Physical Education (NCSPE), and Coach and Manager for Panjab University teams in Athletics, Squash, Shooting, and Cross Country. Dr. Yadav is also a renowned sports commentator, having covered prestigious events such as the National Games, Olympic and Asian Games Qualifiers, Indian Grand Prix, Federation Cup, Indian Open, NIDJAM (the world’s largest track & field scouting program), Khelo India University Games, and SAAF Race Walking Championships.
