Umesh Patel is a former Indian wrestler and acclaimed coach, is the recipient of the prestigious Vishwamitra Award (2007) from the Government of Madhya Pradesh and serves as an Executive Member of the Wrestling Federation of India. A UWW First Grade Coach, he has mentored numerous athletes, conducted national trials, and led Indian Railway Wrestling Coaching Camps. Academically accomplished with B.A., M.A., and LL.B (Honours) degrees, along with an NIS coaching certification, he has earned multiple honors, including a Bronze at the 1989 World Cadet Wrestling Championship (USA), Gold at the 1991 All India University Championship, and several national and school-level medals.
