Dr. Koshy Alexander Vaidyan is a distinguished academic and sports administrator, currently serving as the Secretary for Youth Empowerment, Gender, Sports/Physical Recreation, and Media & Communication at the National Council of YMCAs of India. With a Ph.D. in Physical Education from Tamil Nadu Physical Education and Sports University, his academic journey spans over two decades and includes multiple postgraduate degrees in physical education, rehabilitation, and nutrition. His professional career includes notable roles such as Executive Secretary of the YMCA Multi-Sports Complex in Faridabad and Campus Administrator at the YMCA College of Physical Education, Chennai. A seasoned YMCA professional, he has also served in leadership and teaching roles across India and internationally, including Canada. A multi-talented sportsman, Dr. Koshy has represented states like Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Orissa in rugby, handball, athletics, and softball, and is a multiple-time gold medalist in discus throw at university and state levels.
