Prof. Ravinder Pal Ahlawat is a distinguished sports education leader and Professor at the Central University of Haryana, where he also served as the Founder Head of the Department of Physical Education & Sports. He holds a Ph.D. in Physical Education from M.D.U. Rohtak and a Diploma in Athletics from N.S.N.I.S. Patiala, reflecting his strong academic and technical foundation in sports science. With over 23 years of teaching and research experience, he has served in various academic roles including Lecturer, Reader, Associate Professor, and Professor at reputed universities across India. As an athlete, he has an outstanding record—participating 23 times at the National level in athletics and winning an impressive total of 32 medals, including 15 Gold, 10 Silver, and 7 Bronze. He has also been declared Best Athlete multiple times at School Nationals, Junior Nationals, and State Championships. Beyond his athletic achievements, Dr. Ahlawat has made significant contributions to academia by guiding numerous M.Phil and Ph.D. scholars, publishing research, and evaluating theses. He has taken on key leadership roles such as Dean, Director of Sports, Proctor, and Chairperson of Sports Councils in various universities, demonstrating his excellence in both administration and sports development.
