Renjith Maheshwary, an accomplished Olympian triple jumper from Kottayam, Kerala, has represented India in three consecutive Olympic Games: Beijing 2008, London 2012, and Rio 2016. He made history at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in New Delhi by winning a bronze medal and becoming the first Indian to cross the 17-meter mark in the triple jump with a leap of 17.07 meters. Renjith set a national record at that event, which he later improved to 17.30 meters at the 2016 Indian Grand Prix in Bengaluru. Throughout his career, he has secured multiple gold medals, including at the 2016 South Asian Games, the Asian Championship in 2016, and the Asian Grand Prix in 2007, 2008, 2010, and 2012. He also won gold at the 2007 Asian Championships and narrowly missed a podium finish by placing fourth at the 2006 Asian Games. Additionally, Renjith has competed at the World Championships in 2007, 2011, and 2013, and proudly represented Asia at the Continental World Cup in 2010 and 2014. His consistent performances and dedication have made him one of India's most celebrated triple jumpers.
