Ajmer Singh

Ajmer Singh is a highly accomplished and energetic basketball coach with over 10 years of professional coaching experience, currently serving as the Coach of the prestigious Army RED Team at Subroto Park, Delhi. He has successfully trained 200+ national-level players and over 20 international players, making a significant impact on Indian basketball talent development. Academically strong, he holds a Graduation from MDU Rohtak (2006), B.P.Ed from Singhania University (2019), a Diploma in Sports Coaching – Basketball (2016–17), along with certifications in Strength & Conditioning (AFSMC Pune) and NIS Patiala courses. His leadership as Head Coach for numerous Delhi state teams across Sub-Junior, Junior, Youth, Senior, and U-23 Nationals, as well as Khelo India Games, has brought consistent success. He has also served as Services Team Coach in Senior Nationals (2019 & 2024) and was recently appointed Coach of the Indian U-16 Boys Team for the Asian Basketball Championship 2025 in Mongolia, showcasing his national-level expertise. In addition to coaching, Ajmer Singh is recognized for his technical excellence as a Basketball Federation of India A-Grade Official and FIBA International Table Official, having officiated in elite competitions such as the World Cup Qualifiers 2023, INBL Finals 2023, and numerous Senior and Junior National Championships. His own playing career is equally impressive, having represented in Junior Nationals (2000, 2001), All India Inter-University (2004, 2006), Senior Nationals (2006, 2008, 2014), and earning multiple medals in Army and Inter-Services Championships (2007–2018). Widely respected for his coaching brilliance, technical officiating skills, and contributions at both national and international levels, Ajmer Singh continues to be a driving force in the growth and development of Indian basketball.
