Bimal Choudhury is an accomplished basketball coach and physical education teacher with over seven years of experience in reputed schools across Guwahati. Currently at SBOA Public School, he has previously coached at Faculty Senior Secondary School, Royal Global School, and IIT Guwahati. As head coach for Assam state teams in the U-14, U-16, and U-19 categories for both boys and girls, he has led teams to top positions in national tournaments, including a first-place finish in the Jr. NBA 2020 (Girls) and multiple state championships. Bimal holds an M.P. Ed, B.P. Ed, and B.B.A, and has cleared the Level-I Coaches Clinic (BFI) with 95% under Nelson Isley (USA). He is also recognized for organizing basketball tournaments and mentoring students who have gone on to represent Assam and India, reflecting his passion for sports development and youth mentorship.
