Jagan Topno is a dedicated sports professional and former Indian Air Force (IAF) officer who has made significant contributions to hockey both as a player and coach. Highly qualified academically and professionally, he holds an MA in Economics, an MBA in Human Resources, a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Management, and a Diploma in Sports Coaching (Hockey), along with the prestigious FIHL2 Coach certification, reflecting his deep expertise in sports and leadership. As a player, he represented the Indian Air Force Hockey Team in the Services Championships from 1989 to 1998, showcasing his skill and consistency at the national level. He proudly served in the Indian Air Force for 20 years, demonstrating discipline, commitment, and excellence before retiring from active service. After transitioning into coaching, he took on the role of Senior Coach at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), Ranchi, Jharkhand, where he continues to train and mentor athletes at competitive levels. With extensive experience in coaching, athlete development, event organization, and sports administration, Jagan Topno plays a vital role in promoting hockey and strengthening the sports ecosystem in the region. Through his leadership, technical knowledge, and passion for the game, he remains a driving force in shaping the next generation of hockey talent in India.
