Prof. (Dr.) Gulshan Lal Khanna is a highly respected sports scientist and academic, currently serving as Advisor to SGT University. He has previously held leadership roles as Pro-Vice-Chancellor at MRIIRS and SGT University, and has been Project Director at the Indian Institute of Sports Science and Research. Dr. Khanna has taught at prestigious institutions including the University of Science Malaysia and Manav Rachna International University, and has served as Senior Scientific Officer and Head of Sports Science at the National Institute of Sports (SAI). He has also been a visiting professor in Japan and Malaysia, and is a member of the Prime Minister’s Olympic Task Force for 2020, 2024, and 2028, as well as Vice President of the BRICS Council of Exercise and Sports Sciences. With a career spanning over four decades, he has worked as a physiologist with Indian sports teams at the Olympics, Commonwealth, and Asian Games since 1982. Dr. Khanna has published more than 120 research papers and 10 books, is Editor-in-Chief of a leading health sciences journal, and has received prestigious honours such as the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Award and the S.R. Maitra Oration Award.
