Dr. (Fr.) John Parankimalil is a highly respected educationist with over 30 years of experience spanning school, college, and university education. Holding degrees in B.Ed., M.A. (English), M.Ed., and a Ph.D. in Education, he is a dedicated member of the Salesian Congregation, Guwahati Province. He currently serves as Secretary of the Salesian Provincial Conference South Asia (SPCSA), Coordinator of the Education and Culture Dimension of South Asia, Secretary of the All India Don Bosco Education Society (AIDBES), Spokesperson of the Salesians in South Asia, and is also in charge of the Don Bosco Trademark.
Fr. John has been the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Computer Excellence Award from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam (2002), the Guruvar Best Teacher Award from Shri Kapil Sibal (2009), the Pioneer of Education Award (2014), and the Green Mission Champion Award (2015), both from the Chief Minister of Meghalaya. In 2024, he was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award in Education by EGN, India.
He has previously served as National President of the All-India Association of Catholic Schools (AINACS), a Member of the Meghalaya Board of School Education, and Charter President of the Rotary Club of Orchid City, Shillong. A prolific author and dynamic speaker, Fr. John has published 20 influential books on education and motivation, and continues to empower students, educators, and leaders through training programs, workshops, and seminars across the country.
