Suvra Mukherjee is a celebrated Kabaddi player and coach who has represented India in both national and international tournaments. She earned recognition early in her career as Best Junior Player of the Year (1981–82) by the Bengal Young Sports Journalists Association and went on to receive multiple accolades, including Best Women Player (1982–83) and Best Player awards from the Bengal Kabaddi Association and Calcutta Sports Journalists Club (1985–86). Her coaching excellence has been widely acknowledged, earning her the Best Women Coach of the Year award in 1995 by SERWWO, Best Coach Awards from the Railway Sports Control Board in 1995 and 1996, and additional honors from the South Eastern Railways Sports Association for 2013–14 and 2014–15. She has also been recognized with the General Manager’s Award by the South Eastern Railway Sports Association for her outstanding contributions to the sport.
