Abraham Varghese

Abraham Varghese is a highly respected football coach and former professional player, known for his deep commitment, discipline, and passion for the game. With over two decades of coaching experience and a decorated playing career, he has become a key figure in Indian football development. As a player, he represented Kerala in the Sub-Junior and Junior National Football Championships, captained the Kerala Junior team, and played for Indian Railways and Tamil Nadu in the prestigious Santosh Trophy for five consecutive years, also leading the Tamil Nadu state team. A standout achievement includes being part of the Kerala University team that won the All India University Football Championship in 1981–82. He represented Southern Railway for 26 years, competing in all major tournaments including the All India Inter Railway and Chennai League championships. Transitioning into coaching after obtaining his AFC 'C' License in 2005, Abraham has coached teams such as Southern Railway, Harrington Football Academy, and Hindustan Eagle FC. He also led the Hindustan University Football team for 20 years, serving as both coach and sports advisor. His role as a Football Icon and scouting head at Tenvic Sports Bangalore reflects his ongoing dedication to talent development and grassroots football in India.
