Olympian Colonel Sant Kumar

Olympian Colonel Sant Kumar is a distinguished Indian Army officer and former Olympian. He represented India in athletics at the 1980 Moscow Olympics and has actively volunteered for the sports committee in both national and international sporting events. He won a silver medal in the 800m at the 1981 Asian Athletics Championship in Tokyo and was the National Champion in the 800m and 1500m from 1978 to 1983. He also earned bronze medals in the 800m and 1500m at the 1978 Asian Games and won gold medals in the 400m, 800m, and 1500m at the 1980 South Asian Games. Earlier in his career, he secured gold medals at the All India Public School Games (1974), All India School Games (1975), and All India Inter-University Athletics Championship (1977).
